On December 17, 2008, in National Library of Belarus took place a practical seminar “Registration and safekeeping of public libraries’ collections”.
The event was organized by Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts Institute of Professional Training and Retraining and National Library of Belarus.
42 experts of regional and central libraries acquisition departments from all regions of Belarus participated in the event.
At the event A.A. Gameza, the leading expert of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus establishments for culture and folk arts and leading experts of National Library of Belarus delivered papers. Participants of the event discussed the urgent issues of registration and safekeeping of libraries’ collections. Experts of National Library of Belarus shared their experience in the field.
In the framework of the seminar workers of acquisition departments of Belarusian public libraries visited acquisition department and book depository of National Library of Belarus.
