An online workshop was held for the public libraries of our country on April 27. This is the first professional online meeting in a series of events of the National Library of Belarus dedicated to scientific and educational resources in the digital environment.
The meeting took place with librarians and readers from the Mahiliou Region.
Employees of the Corporate Interaction Department of the National Library presented ample opportunities for using the electronic resources of world publishing houses and aggregators to meet the information needs of the region residents in educational and specialized publications, fiction and popular science literature, professional periodicals. Special attention was given to the advantages of the remote service with electronic resources in the organization of distance education.
This is especially relevant and in demand during the pandemic, when geographical boundaries have become visible. The discovery was that distance does not interfere with the exchange of experience, cooperation and information.
The Virtual Reading Room is open for cooperation with all libraries and information centres in our country regarding subscription to licensed databases and training to work with them.
