The presentation of the book Vladimir Muliavin and Lidia Karmalskaya. Unfinished… by Marina Muliavina and Olga Brilon took place on March 16 in the Library.

As a rule, life of famous and legendary people is always in the public eye of fans and lovers of their art. But any biography, however detailed it is, always white spots, unknown facts, private moments hidden behind a scene screen. Hidden from the public eye and discussions, they stay in the memory of relatives and close people.

The author of the book is Vladimir’s daughter Marina Muliavina couldn’t decide for quite a long time whether to publish personal letters and photos of her mother and father’s. But she received requests and offers to publish a book about her parents, and along with a music expert Olga Brilon wrote a book of recollections, research and publicity about her father – musician and founder of the legendary group Песняры.

The presentation gathered lovers of Песняры songs, Vladimir Muliavin’s close friends and colleagues who knew him not just as a talented musician but also as a wonderful person. The honored artist of the Republic of Belarus Vladislav Misevich, the “golden voice” of the legendary VIA Leonid Bortkevich, a famous composer and friend if the main singer Igor Luchenok, producer of the musical film Песняры, films about Vladimir Muliavin in the framework of the television project “Обратный отсчет” Vladimir Orlov, the national artist of the Republic of Belarus, art director, chief conductor of the National Academic Folk Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus n.a. I. Zhinovich Mikhail Kozinets and other representatives of the creative intellectuals attended the presentation in order to share their recollections and share this meeting with those who are not indifferent to Muliavin’s work.

The distinguished guest – the deputy minister of culture of the Republic of Belarus Vasily Chernik shared his impressions about the edition. He stated that Vladimir Muliavin was a unique person! Nowadays there left not so many people in culture who could represent and popularize Belarusian culture worldwide at a high level and so brightly and greatly.

It was possible not only to hear sensational facts, but also see authentic letters of Vladimir Muliavin’s and Lidia Karmalskaya’s, ensemble Песняры participants’ stage outfits, matrix of their first disc-giant with the singers’ autographs were shown at the presentation.

A real jem of the evening was the performance of Belarusian artists – a soloist of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Anna Yankovskaya, a famous performer, Grand Prize winner of the festival Slavyansky bazaar – 2003 Max Lorens, a talented singer and musician Yan Zhenchak. They performed famous songs of the legendary band Вераніка, Александрына, Завушніцы. The songs sounded new, fresh and modern, but as stylish and Belarusian as Песняры performed it.

Despite a small circulation of the book, it will soon appear in the fund of the National Library of Belarus, as the authors presented to us one book during the event. The deputy director of the National Library of Belarus on information resources Tatsiana Kuzminich thanked for such a present and a wonderful creative evening:

– Vladimir Muliavin is a very talented person who involved Belarusian in the song art. Today we are at a wonderful event, but soon it’s over. And tomorrow we’ll have with us this book, this novel, the story of a talented person which will be referred to by historians, folklorists, music experts and fans of Песняры.
