On 26 April, the opening of the Festival of Turkish culture was held at the National Library of Belarus.
It is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Turkey.
The event was organized by the non-government organization "Diyalog avrasya" in cooperation with the National Library of Belarus with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Belarus, the Yunus Emre Institute (Ankara, Turkey) and the administration of Yenimahalle district (Ankara, Turkey).
At the opening ceremony of the Festival a welcoming speech was pronounced by Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Belarus Cevat Nezihi Ozkaya, Chairman of the "Diyalog Avrasya" Ihsan Dilekçi.
Within the framework of the event there was the opening of the art exhibition "The world of Ebru” Ahmet Akgun, "Istanbul is the capital of civilizations" (engravings of Melikshah Saytyurk), and also a rewarding for a contribution to the development of the Belarusian-Turkish relations.
The guests took part in a master class in Ebru and enjoyed themselves the works of folk groups from Turkey and Belarus.
