The round table "Book Heritage in the Museum Reflection", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Museum of the Belarusian Book-printing, took place in the Museum on September 10.


The round table was attended by representatives of museums and libraries of Belarus and Russia: the National Library of Belarus, the Museum of the Belarusian Book-printing, the Museum-library of Simeon of Polack, the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature, the State Literary Museum of Janka Kupala, Mogilev Museum of Regional Studies named after E. Ramanaǔ, Vitebsk Museum of Regional Studies, the Russian State Library, Moscow State Pedagogical University.

The Master of cultural science, Deputy Director for Research and Publishing Activities Aliaksandar Suša (“Skarynijana ǔ muzejnaj ekspazicyji: nabytki i perspektyvy napiaredadni 500-hoddzia bielaruskaha knihadrukavannia”), the Head of the Bibliology department Galina Kirejeva (“The role of E. Nemirovski in studying of Skaryna’s heritage: the 90th anniversary of the Russian researcher’s birth”) and the Head of Research and design work section of the Bibliology department Tacciana Sapega (“Aryhinal I kopija knižnaha pomnika ǔ muzejnaj ekspazicyji: da prablemy suisnavannia”) made reports.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.
