On February 16th, the library hosted the workshop ”Content and search engine of EBSCO databases for information supply of scientific and education community”.
The event had been prepared by the National Library of Belarus and the company EBSCO Information Services, one of the leading suppliers of foreign scientific electronic information resources in natural and exact sciences, humanities and medicine.
Andrei Sokolov , the director of the Regional Development in Russia, Belarus and Moldova, presented at the seminar an overview of the database package EBSCO Premier available in the Virtual reading room of the National Library of Belarus. He acquainted the audience with the functionality of EBSCOhost platform, information retrieval algorithms in databases, and the features of EBSCO Discovery Service search platform. The possibilities of the administrative module EBSCOhost were considered in detail.
The event was attended by library managers and specialists, as well as a broad range of users of EBSCO databases and other electronic information resources available to partners of the National Library in the Virtual reading room.
