An online presentation of the resource "Manuscripts of Contemporary Belarusian Authors from the Collections of the National Library of Belarus" took place on December 22
Mr Victor Pshybytko, Head of the Digitization and Preservation of the Library Documents Centre and the developer of the resource made a presentation on the topic. He introduced the audience to the content and functionality of the collection, demonstrated the features of documents search and management.
The resource presents more than 600 digital copies of musical pieces by more than 100 contemporary Belarusian composers and poets, who signed author agreement with the Library in which they allowed the use of their works through reproduction, distribution, sharing with the public.
The resource will be useful to historians, musicologists, teachers, students, and everyone who is interested in the current Belarusian music.
Specialists and heads of libraries, educational institutions, professional performers and music lovers attended the event.
