I came with fairy tales
In the golden morning
From quiet Sozh,
From the banks of the Dnieper.
My native country,
Accept my greetings.

Pavlyuk Trus

Pavlyuk (Pavel Adamovich) Trus was born on May 6, 1904 in the village of Nizok in the Uzdensky district of the Minsk region. Since childhood, he helped his father with the housework. At school, he stood out for his diligence and ingenuity, his ability to draw. After graduating from school, he entered the Uzden Primary School, which was later reorganized into a seven-year-old. His favorite subjects were literature, history, natural science and drawing. He was especially fond of the works of A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, N. Nekrasov, T. Shevchenko. Here he met and became lifelong friends with P. Glebko and A. Yakimovich. During his studies, Pavlyuk began to show poetic abilities. Friends often met, read their poems and treats, and dreamed of becoming teachers.

In 1923, P. Trus entered the Belarusian Pedagogical College in Minsk, where Yakub Kolas was teaching at that time. It was the happiest time in the young man's life. It was during these years that poetry became the meaning of Pavlyuk's life.

The first poem "Over the Lake" was published in the newspaper "Rodovaya Rune", then poetic works appeared on the pages of Belarusian newspapers and magazines "Malady araty", "Belarusian pianier", "Savetskaya Belarus", "Chyrvonaya zmena" He especially actively collaborated with the editorial office of the newspaper Belorusskaya Derevnya, published poems, feuilletons, treats in it. At the same time, P. Krolik was actively engaged in processing folklore and poetic materials for composers V. Teravsky, N. Sokolovsky, G. Pukst, etc. He sang in the choir, set up plays, performed roles in plays, and painted scenery.

In 1925, the poet became a member of the literary association "Maladnyak" and since that time he has been published a lot on the pages of the magazine of the same name. Poetry evenings were held at the college and Pavlyuk was one of the notable young poets. Students from different faculties of the university came to listen to his performances, Pavlyuk Trus read almost everything from memory and his performance was always amazing and exciting. After a while, writers and poets began to attend literary evenings with his participation.

Fruitful creative activity during the years of studying in technology had excellent results: he published two collections of poetry: "Poems" (1925) and "Big Winds" (1927).

After their publication, the literary community in the person of Pavlyuk krolik saw a talented poet who brought new themes and fresh original images to the young Belarusian poetry. He dedicated his poems to the beauty of his native land, memories of childhood, the village, peasant labor ("Spring Song", "In the hayfield", "In the harvest", "Before autumn", "Winter... I am the ardent snowstorms..." and others..). Intimate lyrical poems occupy an important place in his work: "Why did I hurt my heart ...", "Why do I need laughter ...", "Yellowed maple", "Tell me, my love, tell me...". Later, poster and propaganda works devoted to the social revolution began to prevail in the poet's work (poems "Orphan Alesya", "The Tenth foundation", etc.), a significant place was given to showing the civil war of Soviet youth with the White Polish occupiers (poems "Young fighter", "Prisoner", "Red Roses").

In June 1927, after graduation, he got a job in Gomel as secretary of the newspaper “Novaya Veska”. In the same year, after the liquidation of the newspaper, he worked in the editorial office of the Gomel newspaper Polesskaya Pravda. In addition to editorial work, the poet was actively engaged in educational work. He was appointed chairman of the Gomel branch of the Belarusian Association of Proletarian Writers. He often traveled around the districts, delivered poems, reports, and took care of the fate of the artistic word in Belarus. The poet was also interested in theatrical life, often attended performances.

In September 1928, Pavlyuk Trus entered the literary and linguistic department of the Pedagogical Faculty of the Belarusian State University. At the same time, he took an active part in the literary and social life of the capital, often performed in workers' clubs and educational institutions.
