The 5th International Scientific and Technological Conference "Rocket–Free Industrialization of Near Space: Challenges, Concepts, Projects" (NRNSI 2022), honouring the World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day, will be presented in its proceedings on April 12 at 5 p.m. in the atrium of the library's second floor.

Since its inception in 1988, the NRNSI conference ("Rocket-free Industrialization of Near Space: Challenges, Concepts, Projects") has served as a distinctive forum for the presentation of the findings of scientific investigation and advancement regarding the peaceful exploration of near space by non-rocket means. Representatives from 18 countries have attended the conference over its lengthy history, including top researchers, technologists, cosmonauts, and public and political personalities.

There are 27 articles written by engineers, designers, biologists, economists, and public figures in the scientific journal "Rocket–free Industrialization of Near Space: Challenges, Concepts, Project". The conference reports include solid justifications and calculated statistics.

The National Library of Belarus and Astroengineering Technologies LLC are in charge of organising the event.

April 18, 2024 marks the 210th anniversary of the birth of Yevstafiy Tyshkevich, a famous archaeologist, historian, ethnographer, local historian and museologist. His research has raised whole layers of the historical past, he was one of the first Belarusian authors of local lore. To mark the anniversary of the scientist, an exhibition "Connoisseur of Belarusian Antiquities" has been organized in the Book Museum of the National Library of Belarus.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the People's writer of Belarus, publicist and screenwriter Vasil Vladimirovich Bykov.
On this occasion, the National Library has prepared an anniversary exhibition "Soldier's fate", which highlights the great influence on the work of the Belarusian writer of his participation in the Great Patriotic War.
