On May 18, the gallery "Rakurs" (2nd floor) hosted the opening of the painting exhibition of "Favourites" by Serafima Potapova.

Serafima Potapova (1945-2019) is an easel artist, decorator, painter, founder and head of the unique workshop "Dancing Artists".

Serafima Alexandrovna's favourite themes are Charlie Chaplin, mermaids, animalistic images (stone lion, fish, crows, butterflies), faded flowers, angels, landscapes from travels, portraits of people dear to her. All these images live on the canvases of the artist, surprising with their interpretation. The variability of favourite characters, plots, compositions presents new faces of characters, a palette of moods rich in nuances.

Serafima Alexandrovna by origin, mentality and attitude was an absolute citizen. That's probably why her soul and brush were so frantically striving for wildlife. As a result, her landscapes are full of air, saturated with moisture, green leaves, blue lake and milk fog.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus Viktar Pshybytka, the teacher of the Minsk studio "Dancing Artists"and Serafima Potapova's student Natalia Neletskaya, Serafima Potapova's husband Vladimir Potapov.

The warm atmosphere of the evening was created by the guitar song compositions performed by the writer, the author of the book "Where snow leopards come from" Sergey Filimonov.

The curator of the exhibition is art critic Larisa Finkelstein,  the founder of the first Belarusian gallery "BRAMA", the member of the Belarusian Union of Designers, the Belarusian Union of Critics, the Belarusian Union of Artists, the International Association of Art Critics AIS (Moscow).
