On January, 22nd, at 5 p.m., an opening ceremony of the republican exhibition of textile sculpture “A Snowy Summer” will be held at the gallery “Rakurs”.
Larissa Finkelstein, the art critic and founder of the first noncommercial Belarusian art gallery “Brama” is the exhibition author and curator.
The exposition presents the art objects created at the third republican textile sculpture open-air organized by the gallery " Brama " in 2014 in a picturesque spot of the Smolevichi Region. The open-air theme “A Snowy Summer” had determined the white color of all the works of art.
The project involves a wide variety of techniques, materials and stylistics. Both known masters (winner of the State Prize of Belarus Nina Pilyuzina, Professor of the Belarusian State University of Culture Evgeni Shuneyko), and students of “textile” university chairs from Vitebsk (Alexandra Zakharova) and Minsk (Hristina Vysotskaya, Vika Eremich and Anastasia Pukhovskaya), as well as permanent participants of three open-airs – pedagogues of art schools and heads of children’s studios (Veronika Bogacheva, Maria Borisenko, Olga Danilyuk and Alexandra Giros) take part in the event.
