On June 16, the new building of the National Library of Belarus turns 10 years. On this day, an unusual landing will be here!
The library opens to the public not only the doors, but also the heart. Exactly at 16.00, the countdown to the participants of the quest “Biblio-landing” begins. They will have a unique opportunity to take a fresh look at the "diamond of knowledge”, reveal its secrets and, showing their own resourcefulness and ingenuity, win the keys to the treasury of knowledge.
START: 16 June 2016, at 16.00.
Participation in the quest is absolutely free, but seats are limited. Applications are accepted from everyone over 16 years old. If you want to join, you need to send the application to the address: nlbkvest@gmail.com.
To learn the details of the game, go to the link: vk.com/bibliodesant. 10 years in the new building are thousands of large-scale projects of national and international events, more than 200 feature films and nearly 2000 book exhibitions.
The library has prepared an art exhibition "150 poster exhibitions" timed to the significant date. It will present about 50 posters of the most significant art projects and about 100 posters to the original book exhibitions.
A book-documentary exhibition "Publishing projects of the National Library of Belarus. 2006–2016" timed to the 10th anniversary of the new building will be open as well. The exhibition will be centered on the library’s projects and initiatives to preserve the library book heritage of Belarus.
