The popular scientific lecture “About the history of world languages: suppositions and facts” will take place on June 14 at 6 p.m. in the educational technologies reading room (346).


The candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Tatiana Bobko will deliver a lecture about myths and facts in the history of world languages. You will learn about language families and how languages developed, about the affinity of languages, whether the preworld language – a hypothetical language of all world languages.

The National Library of Belarus will prepare a thematic exhibition for the lecture, where scientific, popular scientific and reference editions about the history of world languages will be presented.

The public organization “Youth educational centre Fialta”, the National Library of Belarus and the internet shop OZ.by organize the event.

The participation in the event is free of charge. The number of seats is limited, that’s why the preliminary registration at the web-pages vk.com/naukavs or fb.com/naukavs is necessary.

"On the paths of bright spring" by Pavlyuk Trus

On May 16, participants of the National Library of Belarus project "On the wave of time throughout life" visited the Uzden Central District Library named after Pavlyuk Trus, where they took part in the literary and musical festival "On the paths of bright spring.." dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the poet, member of the association "Maladnyak", native of Uzden region Pavlyuk Trus (1904-1929).
