The workshop, Modern Approaches to Improving the Information Support of Scientific and Educational Activities, took place at the Brest State A.S. Pushkin University on February 26.
The event was organized by the university in cooperation with the National Library of Belarus. A wide range of global electronic information resources in the field of medicine was presented to participants. Ms Daria Stoliar, Corporate Interaction Department staff member, spoke about the possibilities of the Virtual Reading Room for the above-mentioned spheres.
Mr Vyacheslav Brichkovsky, Head of the Information Support of Innovation Section, outlined the main benefits of the Open Access to Scientific and Educational Resources Initiative, which is an innovative business model organization of scientific communications in the context of the digital transformation of society.
In his report, Mr Brichkovsky also spoke about the wide possibilities of using the resources and tools of the Web of Science platform to improve the effectiveness of research activities at the university.
Belarus in the Information Space, the thematic website, a guide to authoritative national online resources, was also presented to the audience. The website section, dedicated to the 100 Days to the Great Victory Through the Pages of 1945 Belarusian Newspapers, caused a great interest.
