Within the framework of the year of national unity, the photo exhibition "The Belarusian View of Daugavpils", organized by the National Library of Belarus and the Republican Centre for National Cultures, will be on show from November 22.

The author is an aspiring photographer Eduard Litvinovsky, a native of the Latvian city of Daugavpils. Eduard has Belarusian roots on his father's side and works closely with the Centre for Belarusian Culture of Daugavpils City Municipality.

The exhibition includes more than 40 works. The photographer united Belarusians living in Latgale in one photo shoot: in national costumes against the background of landscapes and urban environment at different times of the year. At the exhibition you can see the richness and diversity of the Belarusian national costume, as well as fascinating views of Daugavpils and its outskirts.

The event will be held within the framework of the creative training for the leaders of foreign Belarusian non-professional artistic groups and chairpersons of public associations of Belarusians living abroad in the Republic of Belarus, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.

Guests will have a tour of the National Library and learn about its history, resources and its capabilities as the largest information and socio-cultural centre of the country.

Admission is by the library card or by the Social and Cultural Centre ticket.

The exhibition will run through November 28, 2021 in the Mobile gallery (3rd floor).
The end date is subject to change.
