Time Parallels in the National Library: Most Interesting at the Biblio-Night
Other news

At 19:00, the Biblio-Night 2018 has theatrically opened. Are you going to the Biblio-Night this year? If not, find out what is happening on the thematic areas in the National Library.

Those wishing to make a leap in time and embrace everything and immediately, are going on a tour NLB-Radius: Parallels and Meridians and a travel-fest Through the Spaces. The rest of the guests have divided: some want to relax, some want to rock.

Those who have got tired during this short workweek move to the Vinyl Relax Zone to chill out and enjoy true vinyl sound. In general, for fans of music, this is a boom today: just after the performance of student choirs Youth Resonance the Voices of the Epoch began in the Rakurs Gallery. Here listeners are delighted by Andrey Markuts and Alisa Selezneva, Fedor Zhivolyevsky, the Streetbands and Broneparovoz bands. And the beat box is also here!

Those who prefer to move rather than listen gather on the venue Push the Time!. Only one evening, you can get lessons from the pros in folk, oriental, ballroom and modern dances.

However, not everyone likes to have fun after work, and on this Friday evening some choose to do self-knowledge at training sessions with psychologists Tatyana Motevich, Alexandra Kutasova and Natalya Savchenko, or puzzle over quizzes from LitERA Quiz.

On the Gaming Portal, noisy companies and whole families are testing game boards from Hobby World; here, on the first floor, the amateurs are playing chess and checkers. The international grandmaster in checkers, Olga Fedorovich, and the master of sports of the Republic of Belarus in checkers, Darya Fedorovich, are sharing their skill with amateurs.

In between the guests are making art on the Art Territory: weaving from the beads, knitting, learning decoupage and mastering the wickerwork; some feeling nostalgic for Soviet times on the venue Back to the USSR, some are getting wiser at the Book Museum, and some are watching the first Belarusian horror movie – but this is only for adults!

This year, small children have not only their own program, but also a whole children's floor! And yes, that's why the third (!) was particularly noisy. Here the kids drew and sang karaoke, crafted artifacts, made chemical experiments together with the Elemento Science Museum, watched puppet show of the Children's Theater of the Children's Art School No. 2 in Minsk and puffed giant soap bubbles. However, at 21.00 it was Non-Child Time, and children with their parents, grandmothers and grandfathers went to rest.

And for young adults and older guests, the Biblio-Night is going on! In addition, we recall that spring is in full swing, and that means the Time to Love has come! Moreover, on the 22nd floor there is so much beautiful romantic (and not only!) music from Victor Borodin, Max Burinsky, the SDL and Karandashis bands.

Thanks to all who have come to spend this evening here in the NLB, together with us! We wish you pleasant emotions and the unforgettable Biblio-Night!
