Project owner – G.V. Kireeva The National Library of Belarus has a unique collection of books with authors’ autographs. The electronic edition comprises 66 books from the Library’s collection edited in France in the late 19th – early 20th centuries. Books authors are the famous writers and poets belonging to different literary schools of the epoch (V. Hugo, E. Zola, J.-P. Sartre, G. Simenon, P. Eluard, P. Verlaine, J. Cocteau and others), and also the eminent politicians (G. Clemenceau, P. Doumer), artists (М. Chagall, G. Eiffel) and architects (Le Corbusier). The electronic resource includes bibliographical descriptions of books with authors’ autographs (alphabetically arranged, according to the Russian alphabet), scans of book title-pages and autographs, decoded autographs in the French language and their translations into Russian, portraits and short biographies of authors and addressee (if available).
