First aid in case of a burn

It is known, that the longer the victim does not receive help, the more serious the trauma is.

It is necessary:

  • to pour water over the burnt places and cool them;
  • to remove from the injured sited of the victim’s body rings, watches, belts, footwear as these places will start to swell;
  • to take off the burned down and smoking parts of clothes if they have not stuck to the injured sites of the victim’s  body;
  • to protect burns, covering them with clean material;
  • to call the ambulance (103).

First aid to the person whose clothes have lighted up: to stop them, to tumble them down on the ground or on the floor, to roll them over the ground in order to extinguish flame.
