The exhibition of paintings and graphics created by students of the I. Akhremchyk gymnasium-college of arts in honour of the 120th anniversary of the artist's birth was opened on April 27 in the "Mobile" gallery (third floor, circular corridor).

The retrospective exhibition "Dedication to the Master" introduces guests to examples and results of the search and formation of the artistic role of students of the gymnasium–college of the 1970s – 2020s. The exhibition presents paintings by students, term papers and theses devoted to a wide variety of topics: learning, finding a destination, perception of reality, life, history and culture of Belarus.

Ivan Akhremchyk is a significant figure for Belarusian art education, a professor, a teacher of a number of art institutions, a teacher of artists who later became famous. He, his students and fans have trained more than one generation of responsible teachers loyal to the classical school of Belarusian painting. Thanks to them, gifted children from all over Belarus take their first steps in creativity.

The exhibition "Dedication to the Master" shows that young artists preserve classical approaches and at the same time correspond to modern trends in painting and fine arts, which means that the case of Ivan Akhremchyk and his memory live on today.

The exhibition will run until October 17, 2023.
The end date of the exhibition can be changed.

The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
