The collection of printed music contains more than 90,000 items and is the fullest in Belarus. It is universal in content and is intended for specialists in the field of musical art, students of specialized educational institutions, music lovers. The collection of musical documents includes works by Russian and foreign classical composers and contemporary authors.
National documents are represented by folk songs, instrumental music, works by the Belarusian composers N. Aladov, A. Bogatyrev, E. Glebov and others, and also handwritten music editions with autographs by L. Shleg, V. Kondrusevich, G. Surus and others.
A significant part of the collection is Russian musical literature. Works of M. Glinka, N. Rimsky-Korsakov, S. Prokofiev, P. Tchaikovsky and other composers are presented.
Foreign music of the end of the 18th century are of the greatest value. F. Schubert's lifetime editions, works by R. Wagner, J. Rossini, G. Handel, S. Gounod and others are presented.
