From 22 April to 16 June, an exhibition "And the saved world remembers..." timed to the Victory Day runs at the National Library of Belarus (2nd floor, circular corridor).
Many scientific papers and articles, memoirs and artistic works, films and performances were created about the immortal feat of people. Recently, many researchers have got access to new archives. New documents expanded notion on known facts and events of the war years.
The National Library of Belarus has devoted a book exhibition "And the saved world remembers..." to the Great Victory. The exhibition presents about 200 books published in recent years, and telling about the heroism and courage of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition includes materials, which reflect the key events of the Great Patriotic War beginning from the tragic 1941 year and ending with the triumphant 1945 year.
Classical military prose is presented with a series "Great Patriotic War" released by the Moscow publishing house Terra – Book Club. The series tells about the unique human fates, unknown or little-known military events, international character of feats perpetrated in the name of Victory, the main sense of the works is the sacred memory of those who have won the right to immortality by the highest price – the cost of life.
