The jubilee exhibition "The Book lover, bibliographer, reviewer", honouring the 90th birthday of the Belarusian literary critic Seraphim Andraiuk (1933–2022), is on display from February 16 to March 20 at the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (No 205).

One of the most esteemed researchers from Belarus, Serafim Andraiuk, contributed significantly to the growth of contemporary literary studies and literary criticism. His primary focus is on researching the situation of Belarusian prose at the moment.

The exhibition introduces Seraphim Andraiuk's books: "Zhitse. Litaratura. Geroi”, "Traytsii i suchasnast”,"A zhitte vyshej za wsio”, "Chalavek na ziamli: narys tvorchasti Ivana Ptashnikava”,"Pismenniki. Knigi”, "Zhitte chalavekam" (Ivan Melezh Literary Award), a collection of critical articles "Vyviaraiuchy zhittem". The scientist took an active part in the work on collective managraphs “Styl pismennika", "Istotyia belaruskaj sovetskoj literatury”,”Historyia Belaruskaj literatury XX veka" in 4 volumes, "Suchasnaya literatura: kaardynaty idejna-mastatskaga poshuku", etc.

Evidence of his constant interest in the literary process – publications in periodicals, including the literary magazines "Polymia”, "Rodnae slova". The exhibition presents literary and critical articles devoted to the study of the work of writers I. Melezh, I. Shamiakin, Ja. Bryl, M. Lynkow, Ja. Skrygan, M. Loban, I. Chygrynaw, M. Lupsiakow, B. Sachanka and others. The work of the scientist and researchers of Belarusian literature W. Jurevich, Ju. Pshyrkow, F. Kuliashow and others was not ignored.

A separate section presents books where Seraphim is a compiler or editor.

Literature and criticism related publications about the life and work of S.A. Andraiuk are issued to accompany the exhibition.

From May 6 to July 5, the Reference and Information Service reading room (room 257) hosts the book exhibition "Belarus Unconquered", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
