The National Library of Belarus is launching a book and illustration exhibition honouring the recipients of the prize titled "For Spiritual Revival", the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to cultural and artistic figures, as well as the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus titled "Belarusian Sports Olympus" for 2022.

Aleksander Lukashenko, the president of Belarus, signed decrees No 452, No 453, and No 454 on December 30, 2022, respectively, with the titles "On awarding the prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For Spiritual Revival", "On awarding the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "Belarusian Sports Olympus", and "On awarding the prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to cultural and artistic figures".

The Award of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For Spiritual Revival" is proof of the state's recognition of the achievements of the intelligentsia's scientific and creative members, as well as those who distinguished themselves in humanitarian and charitable activities and dedicated themselves to the admirable goal of preserving our spiritual origins. The award is given annually for exceptional literary and artistic works, ascetic effort in the realm of humanitarianism, and the advancement of artistic and moral traditions that reinforce spiritual values.

In 2023, the head of state awarded prizes for noteworthy achievements in music, decorative and applied arts, museum work, folk and amateur artistic creativity, training and education of creative youth, active activity in the humanitarian sector, contributing to the preservation and proliferation of the national cultural heritage, strengthening spiritual values and ideas of charity.

The President of the Republic of Belarus awarded the public organisation "Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization" a special prize for its contributions to the civic and patriotic education of the younger generation, the implementation of socially significant children's projects and initiatives, and the instillation of youth with a love for their country. These accomplishments were not unnoticed.

The exhibition features publications from the library's resources, including books, catalogues, booklets, pieces from journals, and graphic documentation, about all the 2022 laureates who, through their lofty spirituality and productive work, elevate their native Belarus.

The exhibition “Great talent, great work, great heart” runs from 17 January to 30 April, 2023 in the Ringed gallery of the second floor.


The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
