A subject book exhibition “The ideology of the Belarusian state: essence, purpose, possibilities” timed to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus Day (March 15) runs at the National Library of Belarus (2nd floor, circular hall) from March 10 to April 27.
The human society is consolidated by a system of ideas uniting various strata of society and governing spiritual values, moral standards, the way of life and social activity. Ideology is such socially significant and theoretically formulated system of ideas displaying deep interests of corresponding social groups and strata and designed to fix or to change social relations. Ideology should be that spiritual force which integrates the whole society into a unique social organism.
The ideology of the state is the national uniting and mobilizing idea. It promotes establishment of the atmosphere of consent and creation in the society and allows people of different beliefs to comprehend and to accept the common values.
The basic principles of the ideology of Belarus are officially formulated in the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus which states the major principle of Belarusian state policy: all should be done for a person and for the sake of Belarus.
The book exhibition “The ideology of the Belarusian state: essence, purpose, possibilities” presents about 200 documents which contain the key postulates of the modern ideological concepts making the world outlook basis of the national ideology, consider the main components of the ideology of the Belarusian State in different fields of the Belarusian society’s life, questions of the constitutional law of the Republic of Belarus, and reveal the place and the role of political institutes and public organizations in ideological processes.
The exposition has the scientifically-practical importance and is recommended to politicians, statesmen, research workers, teachers, post-graduate students and students, organizers of ideologically-educational work in collectives and organizations.
