From 2 December to 31 December, a book exhibition "The poet’s spiritual sphere" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Belarusian writer, winner of the Literary Prize of Belarus named after A. Kuleshov (1989) Casimir Kameysha runs in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (room 205).


In his works, the writer seeks to address the most pressing issues of the day; he attracts the reader’s attention to the ancestral human values: love, kindness, generosity. He writes about his native land and relations between man and nature, love and woman’s fate, and raises the issue of the native language. Kameysha returns to the theme of war and the Chernobyl disaster.

The Belarusian poet A. Serbantovich has noted in the very beginning of C. Kameysha’s creative career that, "...the young poet will undoubtedly have success...".

At the exhibition visitors can see the author’s books Vosenskіya pozvy (1969), Membrana (1972), Nektar (1974), Tut mae vyosny prychaleny (1977), Pyareymy dnya (1989) and others. The writer still works hard, writes poems, critical reviews, and tries his hand at prose. At the exhibition there is his new book of lyrical records and miniatures Ad Kromanі da Svіtsyazі (2013).

Among the exhibits there are the book Ya z pushchy (1995) which contains the author’s best poems. It is a result of more than 30 years of Kameysha’s creative work, his poetic autobiography.

C. Kameysha works fruitfully in the field of children’s literature. He wrote such beautiful books of poetry for children as Gayouka (1975), Buslyanka (1985), Dzyatlava kuznya (1987), Gartsunok (1991), Krygagrom (2001). All they invite the reader in a unique and magical world of nature of the Naliboky Territory.

A separate section is devoted to the writer’s literary activity. He studies the work of M. Bogdanovich, Y. Kolas, M. Luzhanin, M. Malyavko, writes reviews, critical articles, essays.

C. Kameysha also makes literary translation. Visitors can get acquainted with the writer’s translations from Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Georgian and other languages.

The last part of the exhibition contains encyclopedic materials, articles about the life and work of C. Kameysha.
