A presentation of the book for children On a Visit to Francysk Skaryna will be held at the library, on 28 June.
The book, issued by the publishing house “Zviazda”, is the first part in the series The Book of Magic. It was created by a team of authors: writer Elena Stelmach enlisted the help of her daughters and granddaughters when thinking out the plot. Hence the unusual pen-name appeared: Eva NEMM is formed of the opening letter of the name of each author.
An original fairy tale for children in a fun, fascinating way tells about the history of Belarus. The heroes of the book travel in time and at a certain moment find themselves in the printing house of Francysk Skaryna. Together with the first printer, they comprehend the value of the book as an inextinguishable source of good and light on the earth.
How did the first printed book appear, who is Francysk Skaryna and why the newest smartphone can never replace a good book? About this and not only Eva NEMM will tell the children during a creative meeting. In addition, the authors have prepared for the guests a number of surprises. Which ones? Come and find it out!
