On May 19, 2009, in National Library of Belarus was held a concert dedicated to the International Family Day.
The International Family Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993 with a view to attracting the attention of the world community to the issues of a family.
As the main social element, a family was and is the keeper of human values, culture and historical succession of generations, and the factor of stability and common weal. Thanks to a family, the state is developing and growing stronger.
National Library of Belarus and the Department of Culture of Minsk Pervomaysk district held a concert dedicated to the International Family Day in which participated schoolchildren from Minsk musical schools, students and laureates of different contests.
Visitors enjoyed performances of talented young artists: chorus from Minsk musical school #9, trio and choir from Minsk children’s musical school #13, and violoncellists from Minsk children’s musical school #15.
