The painting exhibition by Maria Redko “Outside the House” opens on 31 October.
What catches your eye when you step out of the house? Everything looks familiar. But…the world outside is more interesting and unusual than it seems sometimes. Leaving the limits of our cozy safe space, we find ourselves in a changing reality full of adventures, new acquaintances and discoveries. All this and more is the theme of the exhibition by Maria Redko, the talented artist from Brest.
Most paintings on display were created during the open airs between 2016 and 2017. Greek Athens, the noisy Chisinau of Moldova, the small villages of Brest Region: Stoyly, Bezdezh and Kokorica ... Each place and city have their unique spirit, a holistic atmosphere. The artist feels it and shows in her paintings. At the exhibition you can see portrait painting as well: girls with flowers painted from life. By combining two ideal components, the beauty of the girl and the beauty of nature, the artist adds something mysterious and unreal to the composition.
The exhibition "Outside the House" is a new stage in the development of not only Maria Redko’s world view, but also her techniques of painting, which have become more "shaded", more graphic. A year ago the girl participated as a motion graphic artist in the world’s first full-length animated film Van Gogh. With Love, Vincent. This experience had a strong impact on her work, and over time, the handwriting of the Dutch genius began to manifest in the young artist’s style.
The opening at 4 p.m., in the gallery Panorama (22nd floor).
On 31 October: free admission. From 1 November: exhibition is free of charge, but you need a ticket to enter the observation deck.
Maria Radko’s paintings will be on display till 15 December, 2017.
