The National Library of Belarus offers the crash courses for the 1st–11th grade pupils "From the manuscript to the printed book ", which will be held at the Book Museum.
The 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing will certainly be the main cultural event of 2017. You surely can learn about the important event by reading a chapter in a textbook or an article in Wikipedia, but the best option is to join an express class "From the manuscript to the printed book".
The express class "From the manuscript to the printed book" is a fast reception of urgent, necessary and compact information. It provides a basic level of understanding of the basic stages of the development of the book. Pupils will have the opportunity to see first-hand the 500-or-more year old artifacts from the past. The classes are held in an easy and entertaining form. The pupils learn the diversity of literary culture through a dialogue, games and creativity.
The express class "From the manuscript to the printed book" includes three museum lessons:
- The manuscript as a foundation for the printed book.
- Johannes Gutenberg and the beginning of the European book-printing.
- Francysk Skaryna, the Belarusian printing pioneer.
Duration of a lesson is 60 minutes.
