On November 29, the library will host a presentation of the book Groshyk i Tayamnychy Koshyk – the ABC on financial literacy.
The book is a joint creative project of the editorial staff of the magazine Vyasyolka and Belarusbank, published by the publishing house Adukaciya i Vykhavanne. The subtitle is The ABC on Financial Literacy by Belarusbank.
The author of the book, a famous children’s writer, winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus, editor-in-chief of Vyasyolka magazine, Vladimir Lipsky, is inviting younger schoolchildren to travel through the secret labyrinths of financial literacy.
The fairy tale reveals the essence of financial terms and reflects the role of financial literacy in our life. What is finance and why does a "ruble-saving kopeck", where adults take money and what is the family budget, what do the words "ATM", "credit" and "cash collector" mean?.. About this, the writer tells to "the young financiers and bankers” in his fascinating stories
In addition to numerous illustrations, the book contains puzzles and riddles. Vladimir Lipsky together with the children reflects on Belarusian folk proverbs and sayings about money.
The book came out with a circulation of 1,000 copies, but it is obvious that the re-release is ahead, as the financial education of children is an integral part of modern education. And such publications, understandable to children, are the best assistants in this matter.
