On February 10th, in the national exhibition center “BelEXPO” started the XVII Minsk international book fair.
The book fair is organized by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Publishers and Booksellers Association, and the Belkniga and the Makbel Companies.
This year, 619 participants from 26 countries present the book novelties at the fair. France has become the guest of honor at the XVII Minsk international book fair.
The organizers of the event have prepared a fascinating cultural program for visitors. On February 11th the traditional “Library Day” takes place, on February 12th – "The Day of Knowledge”. Within the framework of the book fair, presentations of Belarusian and foreign publications, literary meetings, autograph-sessions and other events are held.
Traditionally, National Library of Belarus participates in the XVII Minsk international book fair. This year the Library promotes its publishing activities and presents electronic and printed publications and souvenirs.
On the book fair opening day National Library of Belarus received the Diploma for an active participation.
