The exhibition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary from the date of the birth of outstanding French writer and playwright, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature (1957) "for a great contribution to literature revealing the importance of the human conscience" Albert Camus (1913–1960).
The exposition includes the writer’s works, materials about his life and work. There are more than 50 publications in English, Belarusian, Russian and French on display.
The artistic heritage of Albert Camus is presented by publications which have been released in such prestigious series as The Book for All Times, ABC-classic, Classical and modern prose, The World Classics. A lot of the writer’s works were released in them. It is a novel The Plague (1947), which a plot is similar to the tragic events in France during the Nazi occupation, famous stories The Stranger, The Fall, short stories The Adulterous Woman, The Silent Men, The Guest, The Growing Stone, plays Caligula, The Just Assassins, Requiem for a Nun, The Possessed, numerous essays and diaries.
The creative formation of French novelist, playwright and essayist, literary critic is examined in a critical essay Verges of "unhappy consciousness”.
