The book exhibition is devoted to the 210th birth anniversary of the date of Fyodor Tyutchev (1803-1873), one of the greatest Russian poets of the 19th century. Though his literary heritage is not too large among his works there are pearls of philosophical lyrics and immortal ideas of inaccessible profundity, force of expressions and scope of inspiration.
The exposition “Believing in the Fatherland” includes about 60 editions: collections of Fyodor Tyutchev’s verses and essays, his selected works, letters, translations and articles, as well as books about the writer’s life and creative career.
Editions of the second half of the 19th century – Verses of Fyodor Tyutchev, Works of Fyodor Tyutchev, (1886) are on display.
The exposition also includes Complete Works of Fyodor Tyutchev (1913), The Compleyte Collection of Verses (1934), collections Your Tyutchev (2003) with the poet’s verses, translations, articles and letters, Foreign Poetry in Your Tyutchev’s Translations (2004) etc.
Editions about the work, outlook and life of the brilliant Russian poet are of a particular interest. Among them there is K. Pigarev’s monograph Tyutchev’s Life and Creativity (1962).
The exhibition wil be interesting to a wide circle of readers.
The exposition is located on the 3rd floor of the circular hall and runs from 4th July to 31st December, 2013.
