The anniversary exhibition is dedicated to the prominent English poet and writer, Nobel Prize winner (1907). Rich and full of metaphors language of his works made a great contribution to the treasury of the English literature.
His best works are considered to be "The Jungle Book", "Kim" and numerous poems.
The anniversary book exhibition presents lifetime editions of the writer in English – "Novele" (1892), "The Second Jungle Book" (1897), "Puck of Pook`s Hill" (1906); in Polish – "Od morza do morza" (1901), "Kim" (1902); in Russian – "On the Slopes of the Highlands and the Slums of Calcutta" (1902), "Indian Stories" (1904), "The Story of the Elephant Gatti" (1904), "Kim" (1909), "Stories. Book One" (1912), "Tales of Rudyard Kipling's" (1914) and others.
The artistic heritage of the writer is presented by the Collected works in five volumes (1991), "Essays" in three volumes (2000), which includes the most famous poems, as well as the full text of both "Jungle Books", stories of all the collections of novels and from most of the books of mixed genres, which combines his poems and short stories; novels "The Lights That Failed", "Kim", as well as the world famous fairy tales for children accompanied by illustrations of the author.
The biography of the writer is reflected in various collections, monographs, academic publications: "The Writers of the XIX Century" (1901), "Rudyard Kipling: the 125th Anniversary of the Birth" (1990), "The Nobel Prize. Literature: 1901–1926" (2006), "Kipling" (2011) by A. Livergant from the series "Life of the Remarkable People ".
The collection of memoirs and prose "A Little about Myself" (2003), which includes the autobiographical novel "A Little about Myself for My Friends – Acquaintances and Strangers", first published in Russian is of great interest. The author tells about his life, about his own principles of literary work, shares experience with writers–beginners.
