Kazanovich, Boris

8 Борис Ильич Казанович.jpgBoris Kazanovich (1871–1943) was a lieutenant general. Born in the city of Mogilev, he graduated from Mogilev classical gymnasium (1890), Moscow Infantry Cadet School (1892), and Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff (1899).

He fought in the First World War. In December 1914 he was appointed as commander of the 127th Putivl regiment. In December 1916 he received appointments as major general and chief of staff of the 6th Siberian rifle division. In 1917 he reached the rank of commander. In December 1917, he joined General Kornilov’s Volunteer Army.
