Matzeevsky, Adam

21 Адам Адольфович Мацеевский.jpg Adam Matzeevsky (1858–1915) was a major general. Born in a hereditary noble family, Grodno province, he graduated from Bialystok real school and Infantry Junker School in Vilna (1876). He reached the ranks of ensign (1877), second lieutenant (1877), lieutenant (1885), staff captain (1892), captain (1896), lieutenant colonel (1905), colonel (1910), major general (1915). After the outbreak of the First World War, he was assigned to service in the 120th Serpukhov Infantry Regiment (1914–1915). He participated in the battles of Warsaw and led the 119th Kolomna Infantry Regiment (1915).
