Mokrzhetsky, Adam-Vincent-Felician
Adam-Vincent-Felician Mokrzhetsky (1856–1921) was a general. Born in the estateof Dzitruki, Lida region, he graduated from Pskov military pro grammar school, and Infantry Cadet School in Vilna. He reached the ranks of ensign (1874), second lieutenant (1875), lieutenant (1877), staff captain (1885), captain (1889), lieutenant colonel (1895), colonel (1909), major general (1914), and general lieutenant (1920). At the beginning of the First World War, he led the 40th Kolyvan Infantry Regiment (1915), later he served as a reserve at the headquarters of Minsk military district. He headed the 91st Brigade of the State Militia (1915), and the Brigade of the 2nd Infantry Division of the 1st Polish Corps in Belarus (1917). In November 1918, he joined the Polish Army and commanded the 2nd self-defense group in Vilna. He served as Commandant of Vilna between 1918 and 1919.
