Trikovsky, Nikolai

31 Николай Семенович Триковский.jpg Nikolai Trikovsky (1864–1926) was a Russian and Soviet military commander, lieutenant general. Born in Minsk province, he graduated from Minsk Theological Seminary and Riga Infantry Cadet School. He reached the ranks of lieutenant (1886), lieutenant (1890), captain (1900), lieutenant colonel (1905), staff captain (1899), colonel (1907), major general (1914), lieutenant general (1917). He commanded the 104th Ustyug Infantry General of the Regiment Prince Bagration (March 1909), which entered the war as part of the 26th Infantry Division. In 1915, he was appointed commander of the 1st brigade of the 3rd Siberian Rifle Division. In battle, commanding the right combat sector, he managed to take the height under heavy enemy fire, which greatly eased the position of the Grodno fortress and the whole army (1915). After the February Revolution, he was appointed commander of the 2nd Siberian Army Corps (1917). He voluntarily joined the Red Army.
