On December 10, at the art gallery Rakurs took place a book presentation and an opening of Elena Adamchik’s photo exhibition "Bielaruski. Women of Europe”.

The event organizers: the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus.

Elena Adamchik is a well-known Belarusian photographer and portrait master.  In 2004 she started working on her first book project "Bielaruski” which includes portraits of our fellow countrywomen.

Elena Adamchik’s photo album had been presented in Vilnius (Lithuania) and Logoysk town (Belarus) and warmly welcomed by audience. This year Elena Adamchik published her fifth album dedicated to the celebrated women of Belarus living both in their homeland and abroad. Among them – Olympic champion Marina Lobach. As a whole, the book “Bielaruski. Women of Europe” includes twelve holiday portraits.

At the beginning of the event Elena Adamchik presented to the National Library of Belarus five photo albums from the series “Bielaruski. Women of Europe” with her autographs.

In the event participated: First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Petkevich, First Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Lilia Ananich, director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, president of the Russian Club of Art and Culture Duchess Natalya Golitsyna, foreign diplomats and cultural workers.
