On May 15, the National Library hosted the presentation of the book of fairy tales "Dream House for my Mother" dedicated to the International Family Day.

Our country has many achievements related to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals. The Goals are a kind of call to action aimed at improving the well-being of our planet and protecting it. This is the opinion of the authors of the book "Dream House for my Mother" – Gennady Kalenov, an employee of the International Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship and Elena Shaldaeva, a journalist.

The purpose of the publication is to show the younger generation the need to take care of nature, its ecosystems and the preservation of ecology on the planet. On the pages of the book, you can find out the corners of our capital, where rational waste management takes place (sorting garbage for recycling), green construction, barrier-free environment. The book also raises issues of the use of ecological modes of transport, conservation of resources, etc.

Minsk, for the authors of the book, is the embodiment of the very "dream house" in which it is not only comfortable, but also pleasant to live next to neighbours. Adults and children are happy to return to such a house after work and study. And there are more and more such houses in Belarus.

This year, the book will be presented at the UN as an example of promoting the Sustainable Development Goals among children.

The event was attended by Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus Lyudmila Vysotskaya, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the Private Institution of Higher Education "International Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship" Penfei Zhang, specialist of the International Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, co-author the book "Dream House for my Mother" Gennady Kalenov, journalist, organizer of the creation of two Belarusian cultural societies in Latvia, Elena Shaldaeva co-author of the book "Dream House for my Mother".

The material was provided by the Public Relations Department.
