On May 27th, the National Library will host a presentation of Vyachka Telesh’s book Cities of Belarus in Old Postcards.


The book written in Belarusian and English languages was published in 2014 by the publishing house “Belarus.

The book-album includes the most interesting postcards from both the author’s collection and the stocks of various museums, libraries, and also private collections. Many of them have never been published.

The edition about city architecture in Belarus of the early XX century, masonry and wooden architecture of our ancestors will help the reader to plunge into the history and recollect the past.

The book will be interesting to all amateurs of history and photography.

The presentation starts at 3 p.m. in the gallery “Labyrinth” (on the 3rd floor).

The Song has Wings

The jubilee book exhibition "The Song has Wings", dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the Belarusian poet Adam Gerasimovich Rusak (1904–1987), takes place from May 22 to June 13 in the Belarusian Literature reading room (room 205).

On May 16, participants of the National Library of Belarus project "On the wave of time throughout life" visited the Uzden Central District Library named after Pavlyuk Trus, where they took part in the literary and musical festival "On the paths of bright spring.." dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the poet, member of the association "Maladnyak", native of Uzden region Pavlyuk Trus (1904-1929).
