On October 12, a delegation of writers and artists of Bashkortostan visited the library.
The guests were introduced to the 100-year history of the Belarusian "diamond of knowledge", architectural features and technical capabilities of the institution, told about information resources and socio-cultural activities of the library, conducted an excursion with a visit to the book museum and a viewing platform.
The guests expressed their admiration for the organization and scale of the library, and also noted its important role in preserving and popularizing the cultural heritage of Belarus.
As part of the meeting, the guests donated a collection of books by Bashkir writers to the National Library.
The visit took place within the framework of the Days of Bashkir Literature in Belarus, organized by the Union of Writers of Belarus.
