On March 13th, the National Library hosted a solemn ceremony of delivery of passports and the BRSM (Belarusian Republican Union of Youth) membership cards to the best representatives of studying youth of the Pervomajski District of Minsk, as part of the All-Belarusian action “We are citizens of the Republic of Belarus”.
The ceremony was traditionally timed to the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. The purpose of this annual action is to increase the importance of the concept "citizen" in consciousness of young adults getting a passport of the Republic of Belarus and to attract the attention of public bodies and organizations to the questions of patriotic education of youth.
Head of the Pervomajski District administration Igor Kudrevich addressed a solemn speech to young citizens calling them to be legislative and responsible for the future of the country. At the same time he has wished them to stay kind, active and happy.
After a solemn delivery of passports and membership cards young adults made an excursion around the National Library of Belarus.
