The opening ceremony of the "Francišak Bahuševič's Blessed Kushlyany" literary and documentary exhibition dedicated to the 180th birth anniversary of the poet and the 30th anniversary of the museum-estate took place at the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature on March 19.
The celebration began on February 19 with the presentation of the joint project of the National Library of Belarus and the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature. It was the release of the electronic publication "Do not leave our Belarusian language..." The resource includes electronic pages of the first lifetime publications by Francišak Bahuševič, reference sources, information about the perpetuation of the poet's memory, as well as the valuable pieces from the collections of the museum, which enriched the contents of the publication and revealed new pages of the poet's life.
Mr Yazep Yanushkevich, literary critic and writer, Mr Vasily Yursha, who compiled the Bahuševič's family tree, Mr Dmitry Yurkevich, archivist-historian and others took part in the opening of the exhibition.
Representatives of the National Library of Belarus were also there. Ms Yulia Amosova, Leading Bibliographer of the Information and Analytic Activity Department, spoke about the cooperation process of the institutions, the content of the electronic resource "Do not leave our Belarusian language..." and the library’s activities in promotion of Bahuševič's heritage.
