The world's leading publishers and information aggregators open up temporary access to scientific electronic information resources in connection with the aggravation of the epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus infection COVID-19.

A number of publishers, including Elsevier, Wiley, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press and others, decided to provide free access to existing scientific publications and the latest research on the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 for the duration of the epidemic.

Prompt and free access to the materials that were previously available only by subscription will increase the effectiveness of research, support public health responses and accelerate the discovery of treatment methods.

Some publishers also offer free online access to higher education textbooks and relevant scientific developments in connection with the transfer of many educational institutions to the remote learning.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.
