On 10 June, at 4 p.m., the opening of the exhibition "God's gift of Ivan Kondratyev" dedicated to the 165th anniversary from the date of the birth of the poet, writer, painter and specialist of local lore will be held in the gallery "Labyrinth" (3rd floor).
This exhibition is another one step on returning almost forgotten name of a famous son of the Belarusian land. The exhibition includes Ivan Kondratyev’s lifetime books on the theme of art and local history which are very rare for Belarus, their recent editions, articles, etc. At the event all who will present there will listen songs and ballads on the poet's words, speeches of researchers studying Ivan Kondratyev’s creativity.
The famous Belarusian poet, novelist, playwright, historian and art critic Ivan Kondratyev left surprisingly rich heritage. In the Belarusian-Russian cultural space he was on friendly terms with A. Savrasov, I. Levitan, A. Chekhov and others. His works were often published in large circulation. Poems, novels, narrative poems were published in authoritative periodicals fromVilnius and Moscow.
