On April 10th, at 4 p.m., in the gallery “Labyrinth” there takes place a solemn event “In search of the lost” timed to the 10th anniversary of the author’s project of historian and postcard collector Vladimir Likhodedov.
This project on the revival of Belarusian cultural heritage was launched by the newspaper SB – Belarus today on April 10th, 2004. During ten years, within the framework of the project, more than 500 thematic articles have been published, numerous exhibitions have taken place and several historical monuments have been restored. Vladimir Likhodedov is awarded the President’s Prize of the Republic of Belarus “For spriritual revival” for his many-sided project “In search of the lost”.
Guests of the event will have an opportunity to see a unique printing equipment of the end of the 19th century, and also an exhibition of photos from the author’s private collection. The exposition including about 200 original postcards of the first half of the 20th of century from Vladimir Likhodedov’s collection will be on display in the circular corridor on 3rd floor of the Library till October 30th, 2014.
