On February 23, the presentation of the automated system "Electronic Library of the National Library of Belarus" for employees of the library's user service departments took place on the basis of the National Library of Belarus.
In the hall of the press center, the participants got acquainted in detail with the content of the resource, its capabilities for providing remote access to digital copies of documents from the collections of the National Library of Belarus.
Alexander Savchenko, the head of the development team at Todes LLC, answered all the questions of the employees.
The project is being implemented in several stages. At the first stage, book publications, abstracts of dissertations and dissertations, sheet music, posters, prints, postcards and other materials became available in the online space. In total, there are more than 130 thousand documents in various languages of the world.
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Copyright and Related Rights", the materials are presented in open and limited access. Documents in the public domain (more than 15 thousand) can be viewed in any convenient place and downloaded in pdf. format. Documents with limited access can be viewed in the library's reading rooms or fragments of them can be obtained through the electronic document delivery service.
Registered users have the right to use the personal account service, which allows you to save search queries, create lists of necessary publications with the ability to sort them into groups or collections, order the original document to work in the library's reading rooms.
The number of documents presented in the automated system "Electronic Library of the National Library of Belarus" is constantly being updated.
