On 6 February, a presentation of new electronic editions of the National Library of Belarus – "Memorable books of Grodno Province" (1847–1915) and "Heritage of Józef Kraszewski" (1812–1887) – was held as part of the XXI Minsk International Book Fair.
The multimedia edition "Memorable books of Grodno Province" (1847–1915) is the fourth CD prepared by the National Library of Belarus for the project on the electronic reconstruction of memorial books from the Russian provinces where the Belarusian lands were. It is a continuation of similar electronic editions about the memorial books from Vitebsk, Minsk and Mogilev provinces.
The electronic edition "Heritage of Józef Kraszewski" (1812–1887) (DVD in 2 discs) is the result of an international project on the virtual reconstruction of the heritage of Józef Kraszewski, a writer, historian, journalist, artist, composer, publisher whose life and work are connected with many countries including Belarus, Poland and Ukraine. The project was realized by the Brest Regional Library named after M. Gorky (initiator), the National Library of Belarus, Kraszewski-Museum in Romanov (Poland), the Biała Podlaska City Public Library (Poland) and the Rivne Regional Universal Scientific Library (Ukraine). The project was realized with the support of the National Commission of the Republic of Belarus for UNESCO.
The first disc of the edition "Heritage of Józef Kraszewski" contains the richest bibliographical repertoire, musical and artistic works, a monograph about J. Kraszewski, chronicles on his life and work. The second one includes electronic analogues of his works in the Polish language, as well as the works translated into Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian languages. The edition has interface in 4 four languages: Belarusian, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian languages. All the main elements of the structure, as well as reference materials (introduction, annotations, chronicle of J. Kraszewski’s life and work) are presented in these 4 languages. Most part of texts is given in the original language of manuscripts or publications.

Myasnyankina, ex-chairman of the National Commission of the Republic of Belarus for UNESCO, writer V. Schastny, the literary critic and translator of J. Kraszewski’s works into the Belarusian language M. Kenko.
