On March 15th, within the framework of the campaign "We are the citizens of Belarus!", the library hosted a ceremony of the issue of passports and the BRSM membership cards to the best representatives of talented youth of Minsk.
The all-Belarusian patriotic action "We are the citizens of Belarus!" has been held since 2004 on the initiative of the Youth Union and takes a worthy place among other national patriotic projects. Traditionally, the annual ceremony of the issue of passports is timed to the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. This is very symbolic, because the main object of the action is patriotic education of youth and the development of a sustainable desire to contribute to the prosperity of the homeland.
The festive event began with a performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus. During the ceremony, the young talented students, who are participants and winners of many competitions, Olympiads and contests, received their “passes” into adulthood. The main document was handed to young citizens by the distinguished guests: the Deputy Chair of the the Pervomaisky district administration of Minsk Aliena Asadčaja and the Chair of the Pervomaisky district office of the republican public association "Belaja Rus" Liudmila Maciuškova. Aliena Asadčaja in his speech stressed that the passport was the pride of every citizen of our country, in which we all had the opportunity to live and learn in peace. Special thanks were expressed to those extraordinary individuals who had decided to join the ranks of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
On behalf of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the deputy Zyhmunt Valievač congratulated the students. "You are our future, those who will go on and save our traditions", Zyhmunt Valievač said in his congratulatory message.
The deputy of the Minsk City Council of Deputies of the 27th convocation Natallia Markoǔka and the first secretary of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Aliena Lisaj handed to activists the BRSM membership cards. The most “youthful” organization had replenished with the best representatives of talented youth.
The ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus Aliena Dalhapolava, and the Head of the Education, Sports and Tourism Administration of the Pervomaisky district of Minsk Liudmila Barysienka.
At the end of the ceremony the winner of the regional competition of the patriotic song Ihar Muraǔkin performed the song "The Bells."
After the official part of the event, the young people made a tour of the National Library of Belarus.
